Description
Raindrop Sensor is a tool used for sensing rain. It consists of two modules, a rain board that detects the rain and a control module, which compares the analog value, and converts it to a digital value. The Rain Drop Sensor Module can be powered with +5V and has both digital and analog output pins. The digital pin will remain high when there is no rainfall or water present on the detection plate. When a slight amount of water is detected the digital pin will go low and remain there until the water is cleared. The Raindrops module also has an LED to indicate the output status of the sensor and a potentiometer to control the sensitivity of the sensor. The analog pin outputs analog voltage based on the amount of water present on the detection plate. It is used in automation tasks like windshield wipers, automatic window closing in case of thunderstorm or adjust room temperature, in agriculture sector to plan the watering of the crops etc.

Works well
I have used one of the 3 so far. Good product.

Readily adaptable
Satisfied need for a sensor that could be placed in hard to access locations (inside stud wall) to check for moisture penetration, an application that didn’t require the module that connects to the sensor for Arduino use. Simply used the provided wires to connect to an ohmmeter which indicates “infinite” or “open circuit” until a drop bridges the tracings on the sensor. Wrapped the sensor in the toe of a cotton sock to wick up moisture.

Great addition to watering system
Just what I needed.Added to my Arduino plant watering system

So far very pleased….||
I saw a mod where these boards were attached to the Wyze Sensor board to detect moisture. Didn’t need the little circuit board provided, just the grid board. Moisture from the finger even will trigger the Wyze Sensor. I’m putting one under the furnace, the water heater, and RO filter to be notified of leaks.

Great for many applications !!
I used one in vehicle to Automatically turn on wipers, used one on Garden to automatically turn on Water. Third one still thinking of another application.
